Reviewer Alex Dressler from Dallas wrote..."A friend of mine who took a college class about covered call writing taught by the author recommended this book. It was a real eye opener for me. I hadn't had any exposure to covered calls before as is probably true of most people. I have enough assets to comfortably invest in the stock market, but not enough to diversify adequately through individual stocks. The discussion about the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock (QQQ) and the Diamonds-Dow Jones Average Tracking Stock (DIA) solved this problem for me. At a time when I have no confidence in mutual funds, I was able to use these two Exchange Traded Funds as the foundation for my investment portfolio. They ideally suit my risk profile. The ability to write covered calls on them was icing on the cake. I've written two sets of calls so far, so now I can appreciate the simple beauty of this investment strategy through firsthand experience. It worked out great. I also plan to study the chapter on technical analysis in more detail to help plan timing decisions in the future on whether to write out-of-the-money or in-the-money covered calls. Fortunately the book does an excellent job of making all of this completely intelligible for an investor at any level of understanding about the markets. The covered call feature creates an immediate stream of income and provides protection in case of a downturn in the market. I highly recommend this book for any investor who is looking for a better way to achieve investment goals rather than just owning mutual funds or stocks alone. Owning the Qs and Diamonds is a great way to participate in the stock market and get instant diversification through one or two securities. Also, the income from covered call writing is just what I needed to supplement my other income sources."
GOOD JOB OF EXPLAINING A COMPLICATED SUBJECT
Reviewer Curtis wrote..."I am reading your book 'Covered Call Writing With Qs and Diamonds.' I am about halfway through and I am enjoying it very much. Mr. Kadavy is taking a complicated subject and doing a very good job of explaining it so I can understand it. I have read many other investment books. Most of the time I think the author is just trying to impress everyone how smart he is. This is not the case in this book. I intend to read other books by Mr. Kadavy. "
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
Reviewer: Al W. wrote..."Both your books were a breath of fresh air compared to everything else that I've read. Some books only tell you the good parts and fail to show you how things can go wrong. Other books go into too much fundamental and technical analysis. And thanks for covering the cost of shipping for me."
VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND
Reviewer: George H. from Albuquerque, NM wrote..."From what I have read in all of your books so far, I found the explanations to be very straight forward and easy to understand. Many technical indicators that I have been using for years have finally been explained in a way that I understand."
Reviewer: Kitti wrote..."Both of your books are excellent! I am glad to read them and apply them to my investments. Thank you for sending the Excel files to use with them."
A HUGE FAN
Reviewer: Alex T. from Mississauga, Canada wrote..."I'm a huge fan of all your books. I first bought Covered Call Writing with ETFs and Writing Uncovered Put and Call Combinations from Amazon. Then I bought the PDF version of Short Spider Straddles from your website. Today I bought PDFs of the other three books on options (Covered Call Writing Demystified, Put Option Writing Demystified and Covered Call Writing with Qs and Diamonds) from your site. Your advice in any of these books is worth a hundred times more than the pricc of the books. Thank you very much again for all your valuable advice in your books. I'm looking forward to reading your every blog and new books!"
